Shortly after graduating from the Eastman School of Music with a masters in jazz performance, Dave spent a year on the road with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. 

Since then he has performed in a wide variety of musical styles with many different groups including the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Orchestra London, Manteca, Peter Appleyard, The Spitfire Band, and Freeflight The Big Band.  He has also had the pleasure of backing up such diverse artists as Michael Brecker, Gerry Mulligan, Rufus Reed, Dave Leibman, Richie Bierach, Mark Murphy, Steve Allen, Don Rickles, Rich Little, Dudley Moore, Dinah Shore, The Temptations, Peter Noone and Michael Burgess. 

Dave has been a member of a number of pit orchestras including the Stratford Festival, the Blythe Festival, the Jubilee Theatre in Summerside PE, the Grand Theatre, the Huron Country Playhouse and KW Musical Productions, and is a member of the New Berlin Chamber Ensemble, a woodwind ensemble whose music covers a wide genre from opera to jazz.

He appears on recordings with Freeflight, The Greg Bush Quintet and Mel Brown And The Homewreckers, among others. 

Originally from Toronto, Dave currently resides in Waterloo, Ontario, where he teaches saxophone at his other alma mater, Wilfrid Laurier University.
